[CC] [HA] [WM] [MR] [AM] [IT] The Boxeen was a light 3-voice instrument inspired by the Paolo Soprani accordions from the 1950s and 1960s, designed by Jim Coogan from New York (who passed away November 2006) and John Nolan. Brandoni & Sons from Castelfidardo makes piano accordions and chromatic button accordions, from student models to cassoto and convertor models. [IT] Cantulia accordions and bandoneons were manufactured by the company Kahnt & Uhlmann, situated at Altenburg/Thüringen, Germany, starting 1880.
Brandoni was founded in 1951; it is now owned by Bompezzo [CC] [MR] [AM] [IT] A site on "The making of musical instruments in Canada" includes two diatonic accordions, one by Clément Breton from Saint-Étienne-de-Lauzon (1990-1991) and (on the same page) one by Gagné et Frères, made ca. On 2nd January 1937 the Cantulia KG moved to Siegburg (26 km from Cologne and 10 km from Bonn) and rented a hall, nowadays property of the Siegwerk AG, from the cigarette manufacturer Haus Neuerburg.
